some people like to buy clothes or jewelry or go out or live in an expensive home or drive a fancy car or buy shoes.
what I apparently like to spend my money on - besides traveling to Korea - is kpop stuff. literally.  

I live an extremely spartan life (let's not get into how spartan since this is not a personal post per se), and since early 2011, pretty much the only non-essential things I've bought for myself have been kpop related.

so by now, for an international fan, I think I have a fairly big collection.
and since I am a nosy person who always like to see what other people have, I figured, maybe someone would get a kick out of seeing what I have :)

or at least what I have had cos some things I've given away to friends, and some spares/doubles have been put up for sale.

something about posters

so, only more than a year after we started this whole apartment renovation project, and only like 6 months after we finished painting and put up the pinboards we made, we FINALLY got the posters up!

for years it has only been Taemin and Taemin, but since my main focus isn't SHINee anymore, and hubs was getting a little tired of it, we made it more of a joined kpop experience.

we got so many free posters in Korea, and over time I've bought so many with albums, so by now our collection was pretty big and diverse.

in time I might find something to fill the space above Taemin, but for now the puzzle just didn't wanna fit.

and no, I dunno why I post about my posters, I just feel like it.

yesterday I was awoken from my peaceful slumber, not once, but twice.

Three days ago hubs posted this on my Facebook wall asking what it was.

The wall 2.0

My red walls ♥

And yeah, yeah, I know they're not really red or anything, but to me this is red.
When I made Version 1, even though it was in September '11 for some reason there wasn't a single red picture, but that, my friends, have been rectified.

When I was done there was this bare hole in the middle, but luckily my fan from SMTown fit like a glove

Now this may seem like an easy project, and the wall with the TV is easy enough because it's in straight lines. The toughest job here is to pick the pictures!
But gdi the other one is a pain because of the angles and making it fit without looking too boring. This took me almost 7 freakin' hours.

Anyway, it's here, it's gorgeously glorious red and I love it~♥ 

I assume everyone gets that I'm referring to his hair here..  

Version 1

So, remember that not so gorgeous plain white wall I showed you what feels like a million years ago? Actually it was just about 1½ months ago, but time moves fast and I move slow, so I didn't get to show you the finished project until today.

Because the wall is now gorgeous~

Now, I had this plan all along, but as I said life's busy and I'm the hugest procrastinator. Not a very 'go getter' combo, so this took some time.

But then one night the hubs went out to watch football (the real kind, not to be confused with the American version) and I had the whole afternoon/evening to myself, and while avoiding other stuff that needed to be done I suddenly got the great idea to FINALLY finish my wall project!

So this is what hubs came home to~^^

And yes, they are picture print-outs because you can't buy a decent poster to save your life! Of course this also means that you can get the exact image you want, and you don't cry blood if it rips or gets creased. Plus, there's more than enough of other stuff to spend money on, but more on that at a later date.

Since I had tons of copies left over I decided to fill out the opposite wall as well!

And yes, yes, on second thought I should've removed my bra before taking this picture, but I was too consumed with getting the picture before I lost the light.

And my beloved chicken, held in my loving arms all the way from Seoul. Who knew there's a thing with Taemin and white chicken? Must be fate...
Oh, and I bought it a bookstore! Can you believe they have these sorts of wonderfulness in bookstores over there?! Can you blame me for wanting to go back, really??

PS. No extra points for guessing what's on TV.

And FYI I lived with hubs' HR Giger posters (yes, those exact 3 posters) for 10+ years so he's more than on board with a little Taem.

I really like the apartment now. Of course as soon as it was all up I wanted to change some out for newer pictures. So we're calling this version 1.
